Ferdinand Apartment

2022, Cluj-Napoca

This is a Japanese inspired apartment. I used a lot of wood and natural textures for this one. I aimed for a peaceful, unpretentious but elegant space. It was a pretty small apartment so the spaces had to be as multifunctional as possible.

The living room space in this apartment is located under the suspended bedroom area. The stairs to the bedroom double as storage space and in this way the rest of the room is left uncluttered and free of massive closets that usually take up a lot of space. After this functional aspect was resolved I was free to focus on making the open space cozy and chic keeping the natural materials theme.

The kitchen is also very Japan inspired just like the rest of the place. The branches are the wabi sabi element that a Japanese interior needs in order to break the stiff rectangularity of this style. Clean and warm.
